Pros: Easy to use, great design, quality and stunning looks, rounded corners
Cons: Camera corner exposed
The iPhone 4S has proved to be a huge success. However, it has one big failing or big positive dependant on how you look at it. It is made of glass. Therefore the iPhone is very expensive to replace if you accidentally smash it. So Piel Frama who design and manufacture incredible quality cases designed their iMagnum case to not only work in conjunction with all the iPhone 4S buttons and sockets but also offered their iMagnum case in many different leather finishes including ostrich, crocodile or even create your own customised look. That’s neat. The finish I am reviewing is the tan leather case. It arrives in a solid box, wrapped and includes a belt clip which can be optionally fitted. Personally I don’t use a belt clip. I have seen, reviewed and own many cases. Below is a tiny sample of my current case selection, includes cases from Cygnett, OtterBox, Griffin, Zenus, Trexta, Vapor, Incase and others. The Piel Frama case over the weeks I have used it, is my favourite case by miles. I am even thinking of ordering a customised one too.
The iPhone 4S simply slides snugly into the iMagnum case. The specifications of the iMagnum are as follows –
- The Piel Frama case is handmade by experienced leather craftsmen in high quality cowskin.
-Sync through travel cable.
- Rotable and completely removable Ultra Belt Clip (the knob is also removable).
-The Ultra Belt Clip is significantly stronger and offers more security than anything similar on the market today.
- Soft Leather Lining.
- Polypropylene inner structure.
- ABS inserted protection.
Below is the iMagnum case with the iPhone 4S. It was as if they were designed for each other. It is such a perfect fit.
Below you can how the design of the case works perfectly with all the iPhone buttons, ports and headphone socket. The camera is able to function perfectly as it is not affected by poor case design or the flash bouncing off the camera hole cutout. However, this does leave the edge exposed to damage if dropped. The flap has a small magnet and when closed protects the port.

Below is a photo of the top of the case. You are able to use headphones with the case closed, and also I have found having easy access to the power button very useful.

One thing I really love with this case is the feel when holding it. Having soft rounded edges makes it a joy to hold for ages and ages. Also the screen is totally accessible, and taking photos works perfectly thanks to the careful design of the case.
Summary
Highly practical, offering additional protection to the iPhone 4S, and built to Piel Frama’s high standards. Thanks to Piel Frama for sending this case for review.
Recommended highly 95%.
